I own a MK6 Golf R which I am hoping to drive into the ground. Cherish the thing. Also like the 2008 Tacos V6 4x4 for dependability. Dream car would probably have to be an Audi R8. Really any year, but hardtops are cooler IMO.

Heck yeah! They are good old trucks! Mine is def due for an overhaul. I did some work through the years to it but its time to tear it all apart and start from scratch. I have always been a fan of the short boxes too but just so hard to come by anymore. Are you helping with the build?

Off and on. He's been working on this restoration for 5 years. I rebuilt the transmission and made a new wiring harness. It's getting a fuel injected engine in place of the carbureted one it previously had.

Sweet! I drove mine daily until about 2004, started riding motorcycles more and driving a POS for the winter to get to the ski hill. Super cool to hear you are driving one daily, hope the gas usage isnt killing you.

It gets about 8-10 mpg. I have a motorcycle and an F150 for out of town driving.

All of the bodywork was pretty much done before it was stripped down to the frame. This was done because it was basically swiss cheese.
