Got hurt on the second last day AMA

Alright so here’s the deal today was I think day 150 give or take a few days this season and tomorow is closing day at sunshine village which is where I have been skiing the last month. Basically i fucked up on a rodeo 5 today and my leg hurts too much to ride. I was so close to going the whole season injury free. Now I can’t partake in one of the most fun days of the season.

I hope it's alright, I blew my ACL out two weeks ago, so am missing the last month of this season and over half of next season.

Yeah my shin and cav hurts a bunch I’m going to go get it looked at tomorow. Walking with a limp right now. Best of luck with your recovery

fun story... my buddy fell super hard at 4:30 on gaper day and went to the hospital and was told he had a torn ACL and partially torn MCL. He got surgery a couple weeks later only to find that his ACL was perfectly intact, just a partially torn MCL. His recovery time went from like 8 months to 8 weeks, we went for our first tour a couple days ago. Silly doctors.

Did he get an MRI? That's the only way to really know...scheduling surgery without an MRI seems a bit weird to me. A partial MCL tear shouldn't even require surgery in most cases.

Yes, got an MRI but there was a lot of bone bruising and also blood in the knee so the MRI was fuzzy. The doctor did a lot of hands on evaluation and decided it was a torn ACL, but did say there was a tiny chance it would not be fully torn because of the inconclusive MRI. Turns out it wasn't even torn a bit.
