16 fucking hours to download the MW update on my old as PS4.

I've been back from Florida for 5 days I should have known being gone 25 and even if I didn't want to play get the fucking download going.

Fuck fuck fuck.

I have to delete a sports game every time this shit updates. I don't even like Warzone its too campy and I don't want sound/headset.

Warzone is why its so big and that campy shit sucks so does the huge map ground war.

My upstairs tenants I let use the internet and they pack fucking 4/5 people into a small 1BR thats why my internet sucks 6 millennials all online (2 floors they use the attic.)

Its fine for browsing and streaming. I think the old ass PS4 has something to do with it.

The problem is Red Dead 2. Its too slow but I want to at some point play a little more. So I can't delete that.

Just sucks I only have Madden 14 for sports downloaded and no room for anything else I like being able to occasionally play 14/15 any sports game for an hour every month or two.

Rparrat first it was just a genuinely great survival game

But then it very quickly became about the pvp. Me and my friends had a server that we felt that we owned. We had built there for a very long time, and we controlled what happened on the server. Nobody could progress without our consent because we had blocked off critical parts of the map. This was fine, we actually cultivated a very peaceful community.

This all changed one day when the developers enabled transferring between servers. Now you could transfer any Dino, item or player between the hundreds of official servers that existed. This resulted in a never ending assault by tribes of other servers. It was simultaneously the best and worst thing to ever happen to the game. Most servers had stagnated before the transfers opened up. But now we had to defend our server almost all the time. The Chinese would push up to our bases with like dozens and dozens of massive dinosaurs and 50 men at a time in assaults that lasted hours. And when we got bored, we could go hit other servers.

There is just something so satisfying about ark pvp in that when you destroy a tribe's base, you are pretty much dropping hundreds of hours of their work in a matter of several hours. I would have quit 4 years ago if I played PVE, it's the most complex survival game but it still runs out of content faster than you'd think.

DolanReloadedNice. Do you prefer it to ea skate? Also why is it difficult?

eheathI played skate since day 1, so I've always loved skate. SkaterXL is different because you have full independent control of each leg/foot vs skate where one stick controls both feet. Skate looks great IMO but they have preset animations so its different in that sense, I need to put some more time into SXL and I think ill start to get the hang of it.

shinbangclanplayer versus enviroment. This is the opposite of pvp which means player versus player. Examples of Pve games are left 4 dead, Skyrim, borderlands (I think)... any game where your main opponent is the game itself and not other players I guess.

DolanReloadedCool. Are your pve maps populated by other online players tho?

shinbangclanThey can be. World of warcraft is a pve as far as I know. Games like rust and ark can be played on pve severs but usually pvp is more prevalent (especially for rust).

I was really unimpressed with the gameplay trailer when it came out. Feels like the bastard child of assassin's creed and the witcher 3. What really turned me off were the horse mechanics and the collectible ingredient things that Jin kept picking up. I also didn't like how customizable clothing colors and the "samurai cinema" mode were some of their primary selling points.
I did think that the way you can change combat styles mid combat is really interesting though. Admittedly, I'm pretty RPG-spoiled from games like Dark Souls and Sekiro. Maybe I need to be a little more open minded haha

DeebieSkeebiesI think they toned down some features that were initially presented, but I put in about 8 hours or so (Finished the prologue; started Act I) and im enjoying it so far; I haven't really played many games with this kind of combat-style so i cant do a fair comparison of it to like Sekiro, Nioh, Dark Souls, AC, etc,. The sword-play is pretty fun, the skill trees seem interesting so far with different types of combos, strikes, blocks, counterattacks, etc, you can unlock throughout along with other skill trees for stance and other parts. I think the gameplay might have been improved from the trailers I saw early on a few months ago, but It doesnt feel like the combat will get stale throughout the game. Only small minor gripe i have with combat is the AI is a little wonky, could be cuz im on an older PS4 system but i ran into a few minor bugs last night but nothing game-breaking at all. Ive played enough looter shooters so im okay with how "simple" i guess the looting aspect of the game is haha. a bit of realism is fine but having to open individual drawers and cupboards and closets and doors gets a bit stale after a while (thanks Ubisoft). I haven't unlocked anything enough really to touch up on the character customization but I hope you can keep things a little vanilla and not too crazy with Jin. Some of the armor sets look pretty cool though.


Gorgeous game environment so far, a very cool soundtrack, and yeah the samurai cinema modes might be just a bit over the top but I think its cool when games do that. I love the photo mode too, you can snap some cool shots.

From what I'm aware the overall game progression is similar to that of far cry and just cause where you clear portions of the map by liberating different "settlements". Is there any unique spin on this or is just traditional?
It's good that the combat won't get stale; Although, when I played Sekiro (which has one of my favorite combat systems), I didn't find myself using many of the alternative weapon options (prosthetic attachments, martial arts, etc). Hopefully different combat styles are genuinely viable.
And yeah, it is cool that the developers care about the game's stylistic roots with the samurai cinema stuff. It shows that there's passion involved because a focus on that is pretty unique.
