Anyone have a project car or truck they are building?

54’ Chevy 3 window I got few weekends back. Took me a while to find exactly what I wanted. Yanked it out of a field on some Indian reservation in Far East Utah.

Got to button up my home remodel first. But this winter I’ll dive into the truck. Will keep original pantina look but everything underneath and under hood will be new. More rat rod then OG look. I’ll find a small block and trans. Posi rear. Custom front and driveshaft. Will lower it some but will not be on bags. I’m excited to have a money pit but eventual awesome weekend Main Street summer cruiser.

Not a car, but I picked up a little ultralight in the spring that I've been working on on and off, far less now that I'm back at school. Been a cool learning project though.

I've got a '90 mk3 supra with a blown motor sitting in my garage and I'm about to pick up a '97 jzx100 soon. I'll get around to posting pictures sometime later.

Idk if this counts, 2009 G37s so not old. Blew the supercharger though (for second time) and the motor needs a gasket job it drips oil and coolant on my garage. Labor is so much for that so tempted to go built long block, cams and replace supercharger with a big turbo.

I always wanted a 90s JDM car but with how much i feel like i could put into my 10+ year newer Infiniti, idk. Still think i should keep my eyes out for a good MKIV Supra though. A great classic, good less conventional way to diversify assets. More fun than buying paintings or gold at least

Looks sick man. Mine is a diehl xtc, manufactured sometime in the 80s. Cool little amphibious kit plane.

Got a silverado as my daily and an NA miata for my project/track car (talk about yin and yang).

The miata's bright blue so over the winter I've been pulling off the panels and putting them in my basement and repairing dents. Then I've got 81ft of vinyl sitting behind me ready to go once all the panels are repaired.

Spent all week making and installing subframe connectors to hold the two halves of my pos third gen together. I'm planning on driving it from qc to bc in three weeks, wish me luck.

I would love a decently clean manual NA even though they're f***in slow it would just be awesome to throw around the twisties. Also been looking at 350z's for something with more power but they're also a lot more expensive

Yeah they're cheap reliable fun, and even better when thrown around a track. Perfect first project car I reckon.

Been tossing up the idea of turbocharging it over next winter which would double the power but probs halve the lifespan. Also at that point I could probably upgrade to a more powerful platform like a Z. So there's that.

The fact that they're relatively dirt cheap makes it so fun to work on though...

My boat project is done other than the cuddy plexiglass needs to be replaced but not urgent, only issue with the outboard is it bogs under load but has great compression and starts up 100% of the time. Once the bogging issue is solved it'll be fish on.

finally started working on the supra, looks like a rod bearing was shot.




Honestly doesn’t look too bad for a 32 year old car. Just ordered some parts and will hopefully have it running in the next couple of months!

Putting new plexiglass windows in my boat, 2 are curved and either make molds and pay 150$ to have them heated and draped on the mold or go for it with a heat gun but been practicing on scraps and not looking pretty. Though call.

My RS3 coilpacks and RS7 plugs are coming today along with some summer wheels. Pretty excited. Still need to install the FM twintercooler and dogbone mount insert ive been sitting on for 2 years. Car should be pretty dialed after that. Once all that’s done just a DP and stage 2 clutch and I’ll be ready for a bigger turbo.

Not a cool car project, more of a keeping it on the road project. Pretty much rebuilding the rear wheel wells/strut towers on the subie. Cheaper than buying a car with other problems. Going to have to sacrifice the rear seat so a mini camper build thing is going in the back.

Broke a plexiglass window and bought new plexiglass the same color code but is darker and look kinda half assed so bought more plexiglass and having to make molds and have it done, boat still isn't worth more than I paid fir it according to one know it all asshole but what the hay.

My project dirtbike never had a bike and needed to do a project for school so I figured it was a good excuse considering I always wanted one, went through the whole thing to discover leaking exhaust valves but have been waiting on the valve spring compressor to show up

Yep 07 250 also considering putting street legal lights and plating so I can ride around town, nh has a pretty relaxed laws and there’s trails like 4 miles from me

Got an early 70's Boston Whaler hull from work cause they didn't wanna do the repair. The gunnel was completely smashed in one part and it had water in the hull. Lots of drilling, sanding, bondo, vacuuming, fiberglass, paint, sand, more paint and wiring later the thing rips. Powered by a 1992 Johnson 40. Not the fastest top end but it handles like a motorcycle and accelerates real good. Still need to install a rub rail and gauges but I'm glad to have gotten it in the water this past summer. Lost track of how much I spent on materials to repair but honestly I don't really wanna think about that.

lol the tow hitch rusted off my land cruiser so I've been borrowing my moms car since it has a hitch for a bike rack. You thought Priuses were slow, wait til you see one pulling a boat. It's actually not bad but pulling the boat up at low tide isn't really doable with fwd.
