4frnt Msp 99 for touring?

I have the dalbello panterra 120 id ski boot which is compatible with loads of touring bindings. would the tyrolia adrenalin long, 4frnt msp99, and the dalbello panterra 120 ski boot be a good touring set up? I live in Squaw Valley and I wanted some new freeride skis so I was thinking about making my hand me down msp 99s a touring ski

They'd be a fine ski for touring, albeit a bit heavy. But it's a pretty versatile ski, so if you've already got them, I don't see any issue with slapping a Shift on them. And then if you end up really liking touring, then it'd be worth looking into a lighter setup.

do the shifts require a tech fitting?

ah, I misread your original post. The Shift does require a tech fitting in the toe, but not the heel. So with those boots, I'd just go with the Tyrolia Adrenalin to start. Bindings with tech toes are way nicer on the up, but for a cheap starter setup, putting an Adrenalin or Daymakers on the MSP's would be a good start.

You are correct about the Hoji, but he has free MSP 99 apparently.

OP, shop around for a used pair of frame bindings and give it a go!
