Mountains That Still Ban Inverts?

I didn't know this was still a thing but saw this on holiday valley parks website. Any other mountains still doing this?

"Inverted Aerials are Prohibited at Holiday Valley except during sanctioned events by USSA aerial certified card carrying competitors.

Is this the 90s/Early 2ks? Last I remember a place currently outlawing inverts was Gore when I worked there but they got lax on it in 07/08 and I think dropped it the next year.

Most hills in Eastern Canada dont allow them. I found it so strange that its permitted in most hills in BC

Chubz.My home resort, peek n peak is about an hour west of HV and you can do whatever you want there.


Holiday Valley sucks. That place is fucking wack. Safety patrol at every corner, they have people designated to sit under the lift and yell at people to put the bar down. If you don’t listen to them, you get a citation and your pass pulled.

If you find a natural side hit and safety patrol sees you jumping off it, they’ll pull the sled up to it and stand in front of it until it’s time to sweep trails at closing.

You will get your pass pulled if you back flip, front flip, Lincoln or rodeo.

Place is stuck in 90s man..honestly could be a staple in the OH/NY/PA ski scene as great resort. Their park scene sucks, place is ran all the wrong ways. Worst season of my life was spent there.


They don't even know what inverts are, I've seen dudes get #corked and then have to explain to a yellow jacket how they're feet didn't go over their head etc.. and that it was technically legal. Just goes to show how backwards a no invert law is. Because backflips are more dangerous than flat spinning a 12 or some shit.

LARd.All RCR resorts in Canada ban inverts ie: Kickinghorse and Fernie

"Your Lift Privileges May Be Revoked for:
Reckless skiing/snowboarding defined as jumping into runs or blind areas, inverted aerials, riding too fast in a SLOW zone or congested area, or riding out of control."

Sucks if you buy EpicPass for a season at Whistler, throw flips everyday at Whistler no problem, then take one roadtrip to use your EpicPass for free lifts at KickingHorse/Fernie/StevensPass, throw a flip there, then they pull your EpicPass, and then you can't ski at Whistler anymore after that. Sucks.

FlackerIn Idaho at Bogus Basin they literally just started to allow inverts in the last year or two


Ya that got rid of the rule like 2 years ago, but they never really enforced it. That had small slopestyle comps there like 5 years ago, and people were doing backys, rodeos, and corks in those, and I remember seeing people flip all the time outside of comps.

I've skied 20+ years at Stevens... it may say that, but they don't enforce it.

To all of those people that have to ski with this kind of oppression... wear all black & don't turn

oldmanskiThere is a small ski field in Idaho where my mom patrolled for years that was a "NO INVERTED JUMPS" hill. She was super chill about it but of course there were others that werent. Since then I know they have removed the signs but they dont encourage it.

where at in idaho i live here

I lived in east Idaho for over 36 years, skied Bogus a few times. Only mountain worth skiing in east Idaho is Pebble Cr and hope they have good snow like this last season, other than that Targhee and SLC, UT were our go to places.

apparently pomerelle is supposed to be pretty good although ive never been there

Skied there many of times, I havent skied it in some time(2009) but it is a small resort, 2 lifts, always has killer snow due to it being the highest ski field in ID elevation wise but it doesnt have much of a grade to it. Great place for beginners, dont know much about the park scene there, in 09' it was just a few hits with a box and a few rails(Im sure it has grown since) get over there when you get a chance. Its a great family mountain and should still be affordable for a day ticket.

I will say this again. I will personally mail anyone $50 for filming a video of yourself doing a backflip right in front of the safety patrol douche bags at Holiday Valley and catching their reaction on cam.
