So I’m buying some new stocks and want to mount pivots , how are they in powder?
Good place to buy ? I usually use skis.com , evo, Moosejaw not finding pivot 14 or 18 over 100 mm

SavageBiffThanks guys def already sold/decided pivots
I’ve got skis with attaks and jesters both of which I like , however, my attaks did pre release on me twice !!!
Any reason to go 18s over 14s? Doubt my dins will ever b over 12 (6ft,185)
Bindings don’t come with brakes? Wtf! Who needs em anyway
RdrdrdLeast durable bindings I have ever used. I have broken three pairs of pivot 18's with less than 20 days on each. Don't let look scam you. $400 is too much for trash

skiswerveyah ok buddy then you need help pivots are super good and last a very long time
PKchuThey do come with brakes, you just might have to find different ones base on what you buy and the width of your ski. 18’s are much more metal than 14’s and more durable. I’m 5’9 145lbs and have broken multiple pairs of 14’s beyond repair but never 18’s
SavageBiffIs 115mm brake too wide for a 98mm ski? I don’t want wings Can’t find looks or brakes for them between 95 and 115 😩
SavageBiffThx for that
I’m putting pivot 18s on line vision 98 186cm
mystery3Why are you putting pivots on a touring ski? What are you using the skis for?
RdrdrdYeah they last awhile if you ski like a little bitch. Bitch.
YungTwinTipsI'm personally a big fan of the pivot but the brakes can definitely be an issue, will bend on you really easily. Would recommend the 18's if your pretty experienced cause I feel they grip the boot better, I had the Pivot 14's and I had a lotta pre-ejection problems with them.
SavageBiffThat sucks, haven’t ordered yet , still have t made my mind up on ski or binding
I was kinda looking at 14s over 18s , I ride 11 / 12 din max , usually 10 at this point , I like to be in the middle of the bindings range not bottom , 18s may b a little much in that regard
SavageBiffDoes the pivots heel move when ur carving or just when u take weight off of it ?
DesertStixIt stays locked in place.
SavageBiffThat heel gonna stay locked during a nose butter 3?
SavageBiffThanks
Now I just gotta pull the gun on a ski
DesertStixThe forza is a sick colorway depending on how much it will clash with your ski graphics. 18 seems like overkill but the toe piece has more solid construction so it’s up to you if you want to spend the extra $$
SavageBiff$ not the issue
I just don’t think I need the din , and don’t wanna release bc im riding at 10 on a binding that ranges 8-18
I’ve never released outside of during a real wreck except in my attaaaks pre released on spins before my jesters don’t release , but as I’m going bigger etc maybe I’ll need them? I’m 185 6 ft , can spin goofy looking 3s , drop some 10 footers at speed can barely butter a soft ski (chronics) I was thinking 14s b plenty but idk...
SavageBiffYah pretty certain I’m getting 14s unless someone convinced me i need 18s
Now what ski...... grrrr
I really think the visions will perform well outside of touring even resort but idk the enforcer 104 fr look so right , might like a lil more tail rocker and a tad less stiff would be nice, medium camber , problem is I want a ski for every situation and idk what situation I wanna buy for now , and it’s time to either have serious work done to my chrons or replace them ( they are my all mountain daily drivers/rock skis, try to take care of em but what happens ) worthless in pow , I can outcarve what they are capable of
My stormriders are great everywhere but the park , I’m not good enough to balance them in spins, and don’t touch rails with em , great for big drops at wot
Kinda need a pow ski , would like to be able to use it in the east some tho
