I mean, this is pretty standard for resorts this time of year. Late afternoon temperatures and sun angles wreak havoc on slushy snow. It gets dangerous, hard to groom, and just all-round crappy. Spring skiing is best done early so you can ski the snow at its best, and have an apres beer during the hottest part of the day.
