lots of much-deserved hype for ragettli right now after stomping that quad 19, but lest we forget the true first quad.

Someone probably did a quad backy before this though.
CalumSKIwacko best quad
loshNot really tryna disrespect aerials, but doesn't freeskiing almost just discredit the whole thing as a sport? I know this sounds ignorant, but think about ski big air. Guys throw way bigger shit, while grabbing and inventing new tricks. Then look at slopestyle, guys are throwing essentially the same amount of flips and spins, but on multiple jumps in a run and with rails in between. Aerials seems like a pointless sport when freeskiing is essentially the same thing but just bigger and better. Also why would you want to compete in aerials instead of just learning how to throw shit on park jumps? I genuinely don't understand the appeal of it anymore. I could see it being much more interesting when these tricks seemed out of reach anywhere else on the mountain, but now adays I just dont get it. If anyone here actually is an aerialist I'd actually love to hear about why you do it, or why you chose to in the first place.
Michigan_SucksI'm pretty sure most aerial skiers are gymnasts that pivoted. Most likely most aerial skiers can't ski for shit other than pointing it into the jump.

CalumSKIBut then again, lots of park skiers are former gymnasts or have a background in gymnastics
