Depends on class schedule. This winter I was getting 2-4 days/week. Now I'm in the entry class for my major and I'm lucky if I get 1 day/week.

As for time management, it's all about priorities. I assume yours are school and skiing. It's possible to get your work done and also shred and party on the weekends, but it might mean flaking on your friends during the week so you can finish homework.

damn yeah i’ve heard it’s really tough to get into certain majors, are you tryna get into foster by any chance? that’s my ultimate goal

I know a few people that are in Foster, but they were direct admits so I can't tell you what the application process is like. My impression is that Foster is only slightly less competitive than CSE.

You should think about whether or not you can afford to burn a year of tuition on the off chance you don't get into Foster. Have a solid backup major or be ready to transfer schools so you don't end up wasting any of your money.

If you are willing to put in the work, you won't have a problem getting into any of the competitive majors. Just know that you might not be skiing or partying as much as you want to during your first year.

Those are solid majors. From what I've heard, informatics is definitely less competitive. One thing to note is that INFO, unlike other majors, doesn't restrict their prereqs to Freshmen only. That means that some of the classes you will need (INFO 200 especially) usually fill up with Juniors and Seniors looking for easy credits.

Don't know anything about ECON or ARCH majors unfortunately.

I'm not in a frat right now, but I know several guys who are. They're all pretty chill, so I wouldn't be too worried about the culture. That said, most frats don't really want geeds at their parties so you will need to join a house (or become female) if you want to attend. In my experience the non-Greek house parties are also great, so you're not exactly missing out if you don't rush.

If you are set on Greek, TDX and Pi Kapp are good options. There are business-focused frats as well but I don't know much about them.
