Timberline public park (spring pass) vs. private parks

Going to be at timberline public park for the spring pass and was wondering how different it is from the parks that aren't accessible to the public? Anyone know what the conditions are looking like now/what they usually look like during early-mid May? Ballpark size of largest jumps, number of features, number of runs, number of lifts open during spring pass would be helpful.

First time going to oregon so the more info the better, thanks. Btw I'll be there may 7th-20th, if anyone wants to ride together hit me up around that time

The park in may will be open to the public, private parks (tline, windells etc) start in mid june usually.

With the snowpack, I'm guessing the park will be on stormin' normin' when you arrive and might be there the whole time. End of may (whenever the snow gets thin) they move the park up to the Magic Mile. Earlier the better IMO, stormin' normin' park usually has like 2-3 different trails of parks with small-medium-large jumps and tons of rails.

Rivers. I lived in a trailer all last winter and bathed regularly in the Salmon and Sandy rivers. During the summer the water is wayyy warmer, just buy yourself some eco freidnly body wash and go town my dude.

You will dig it, you will have so much fun you wont wanna go back home! I am sure you will meet some cool peeps up there camping and just riding, maybe even meet someone that is working up there and they can help you out with the hook ups of the land. There are some rivers for bathing but it is going to be super cold! If you are in need of a shower that bad, you are welcome to hit me up and I have a few bathrooms in my house you can use,(I am about an hour away from Tline). Like I said earlier, I would go ride with you but I am on week 2 after knee surgery and as much as i feel like I could ride, I am going to take the time to heal but Im always game for a beer. Hit me up when you are here and I can maybe meet you in govy camp or somewhere farther down the road like Rhododendron for some BBQ and a beer! Safe travels

Pretty sure the RV park that is down near Welches has showers that you can use. The river is very cold all the time. Ok if it's so hot out you want to jump in an ice bath but I'd be hitting up a real shower.

Yeah no way you’re gonna wanna swim in any rivers in May with that glacial runoff. RV park or skerp from timberline lodge (they have shared bathrooms, so if youre stealthy you can go down the hallway and use one).
