Are classic pure park skis dying?

Many companies are making wider park options and more people are buying them. What do you guys think? Are 84-90 waist type skis dying? Just wanted to start a conversation, and I will start by saying that in the Midwest, we barely get any snow so I think in MN it is for sure not dead.

Phillydog1That is false, camber skis also provide more pop in and out of turns, as well as off of lips.


Ok so even if you add a negligible amount of pop to the list of camber’s advantages then I’d still rather ride rocker

DIRTYBUBBLECamber is boring as fuck. Camber skis feel like 2x4s with no life to them. Rockered skis are more easily maneuverable, look better, and just feel better overall. Try to ollie on a camber ski vs. a rockered ski if you want to feel the difference. Aside from carving, there are no advantages to camber


this is a troll.. right? camber has waaaay more energy than rocker. Rockered tips on skis makes everyone think they ski better than they do.... just take the Nordica Enforcer or Navigator line.. i can put anyone on those skis.

That’s a really good point, I work at a shop and we sell more Enforcers than probably any other ski 😂😂

Am I the only one who prefers the stability of camber? I ski way better on stiff skis.

I had the chance to ride both the K2 sight (88 and traditional camber) and the poacher (96 cool rocker big dawg skis) and I personally love ht eight just a wee bit more. Super light and pretty soft, a lot softer than the poacher. Poachers are for sure a bit more playful personally just love the snappy light ninja ski feel of the sight.

On the east coast a full camber stiff big air park ski is ideal for the majority of days. Grips ice and doesn't chatter.
