bruhhhhh idk what to pickkkkk. I’m 5’7” and 120 ish lbs. I ski on the east coast. All groomers and park for me. I’m new in park skiing and I’m learning how to do spins and rails. I like how light the honey badger is at 1510g for the 172 but I hear the durability is trash. My other option was the 177 Wet and I’ve also heard that it’s light at around 1700g and it’s very durable so it’ll last. I love how they are both surfy and soft and that’s what I’m looking for bc I’m trying to become more stylish. Idk which one to choose. Pleaseeee help.

I heard that all the do is wash out and I also don’t want something that wide bc it adds more weight

I’ve found blends for cheaper than wets in the past. If you’re able to get wets, and you are looking for a super soft ski, get wets. My only problem with wets is that they aren’t sturdy on big landings, I go with a wider ski with a similar flex. I have the edollos and I LOVE them. Some other skis that are like this are Nomads or Poachers. Poachers are only like 300 on steepncheap rn

if you're worried about wash out on the Blends, not sure the Wets would be any better. (But durability for sure is better with Vishnu)

From what I've heard, the prodigys are constructed similarly to the CTs but more stiff. To me the CTS seem more like a mess around on groomer/nosebud ski that you can use in the park for playful tricks and the prodigys seem more like a comp ski that's sturdy and reliable.

I think you would do well with wets, their construction is just unbeatable which is good when you're learning. As a fellow ice coaster, we don't have massive jumps, I think wets are for you.

Don’t worry about weight. Unless the ski is ridiculously heavy after a few days on new skis you get used to them. Honey badgers are too light, too flexy, and the new core is easily snapped. Most skis these days would fit your needs: EDollos, Chronics, ARVs, Blends, Cadides, ON3Ps, etc. Wets are a pretty niche skis: if you like them you love them, if you don’t, you don’t. K2 Poachers are good skis (my brother has a pair), but they are on the stiff side. That being said I enjoy a light flexy ski and I love using his poachers because they pop and ollie great. With K2 skis they are going to be a bit on the heavy side but they last longer than the average ski: maybe only beat by ON3P. Also check out K2 Domains if you don’t jump often: discontinued but they used to be popular where I am and they are really buttery.

Armadas are not my forte frankly. I do know that new Armadas have thicker edges and bases than they used to. They are still thinner than Line, K2, and ON3P like to use. Not sure other than that. I have a friend that swears by armadas and he usually gets 2 seasons before an edge pulls out or the ski loses its kick.

If you are looking to get more than 2 seasons out of your skis you are pretty much exclusively looking at K2 and ON3P. I personally have owned many K2 park skis. One pair went through me for 2 years, one of my younger brothers for 2 years, and then another one of my younger brothers for 2 years. I have a buddy that skis 2013 K2 Domains that he hasn’t stopped skiing because they won’t die. Never had ON3Ps but they pretty much have the thickest, most durable edges in the industry.

Once again weight shouldn’t matter unless the ski is over 2200g each

Bro vishnu’s are fine. Blends are 10 times more flexible than a wet, i was shredding my 178 blends at night hauling and i can visibly see the tip slap and slap and slap, i went as fast as i could on ice on my 183 Wets and no slap, there such a good ski but get this “noodle” mentality, yeah there flexible but they only flex when u want them too and u can’t overflex them, on blends if u out all your body weight into the tips you’ll do a front flip and land on your face. you choice but wets ALL the way
