john18061806Titanium or carbon steel edges on park skis.
Conventional steel is wack. I'd totally ball out on a pair of skis out of my budget if they had edge crack resistance and good construction. Although I'm actually not actually sure how titanium or carbon steel would perform, but likely better than what we currently have.
-eREKTion-Tuned an Arbor snowboard last week which had what I think were copper edges. They looked kind of cool compared to normal steel and they didn't spark at all. They were pretty dented from rails but there were no cracks. If you go softer, your edges are less likely to crack but still take a lot of abuse. I don't think using harder metals would work well.

baitThat's because the real troopers camp out there the night before to get the freshies. Logic would predict that you're not going to bet the best parking situation when you pull up to the ski hill at 10 am on a powder day you lazy pothead.
