WTB a REALLY light Park ski

Drop some options below please. I ski ice coast. I’m bout 125 lbs and 5’7”, only 15 y/o and I’ll grow another inch or two and get a little heavier too. I want a supppper light skis. I’ve looked at the wet 177 bc I’ve heard they are light but I feel like they would be too much of a ski. Also heard the honey badger was light asf. Any other options? And what sizes? Also looking for something pretty playful and flexy, idrc tho as long as it’s light.

Line Vision 98 is 1600g. So that fits your feather light bill. All of the faction Candide series is super light too

Rn I have some 171 caddys and I just want something that I can throw around easily and be really playful bc they are heavy and stiff

That’s not entirely true, the 2.0 in a 184 is at least 2kg a ski. The 3.0 4.0 and 5.0 are marketed as light weight, the 1.0 and 2.0 are park skis so they’re heavier to increase durability

Caddys are really light. Any ski you buy isn’t going to be noticeably lighter.

Imo they aren’t light at all, I think the 171 is like 1760g per ski. ur prob just bigger than me. They are also stiff as heck so that’s mainly why I want to get something more flexible and playful.

I’m 5 8 and 135 lbs. you can buy a softer ski, but your not going to get a ski that you notice is lighter.

I highly doubt the 1760 g weight you're seeing on the internet is for the 171 length. You'd have to try and intentionally make it extra heavy to get that weight on an 84 underfoot, 171 length ski, but that's not really the point...

A lighter ski isn't going to make it easier to flex or more playful, there's super light skis out there that are basically 2x4's (in terms of flex) cut into the shape of skis. Look at the typical softer, park inspired skis (Vishnu, Blend, Frankenski) instead of the comp inspired park ski that you're currently on and don't worry so much about the weight.

Why not try shorter skis? They will be both lighter and easier for you too flex.

I'm on the 166 honey badgers and they are something like 1600 to 1700 grams a ski

There are certainly other solid options from others but we'd love it if you considered our 178cm Alparka. We think it would be a good match. At 1.7kg a ski they're certainly light, also with a 3/4 edge wrap people who have ridden them have regularly commented on how light the swing weight is. They're also not super stiff comp skis nor noodles, a nice balance of flex and pop. Any questions DM us, might even be able to do something on price, if thats a barrier to supporting a company by a newschooler for newschoolers.

I know I'm super late but the Line Chronics are literally the best skis to do everything

Everybody want a light ski, but many forget that it’s extremely important to do leg/core work outs in the preseason. If you have more muscle, any ski will feel lighter than before.
But really any Line product is pretty light, chronics and blends are both very soft and light.
