Faction skis 2019 2020

So I checked out the gear guide here on NS and the gear guide says that the Candide 3.0 is still going to be 108 underfoot, but the rep for Faction that I met at my shop tells me that it's going to be updated back to the original 112 waist. Does anyone have a confirmation for either of these?

Yep they’re changing it so the 3.0 is essentially a 112 underfoot 5.0

Yes, we decided to go with a 112 waist design. Should be a really fun design/ shape :)

I would say the 183 is good, but I’m only 5’11 and I’m getting the 190

As far as I know, the new 3.0 does indeed have camber, and is not reverse-camber like the 5.0, and it also has a similar lightweight core as the current 3,4,and 5. But they’re using a slightly different wood this time.

I was on Factions website yesterday talking with a customer service rep for probably an hour and he gave me the lowdown:

3.0 and 5.0 are getting slightly different cores.
3.0 is now 112 underfoot, flex pattern is altered slightly to give it more of a, “slimmed down 5.0.” Sizes offered are different, there are less options than this years.
5.0 is offered in a 183 and 190. Still flat to rocker profile as this year. Prices don’t change.

yes, the 2.0 is unchanged for next year, except for graphics

Im the same height and tried the 183. You definitely should get the 83

Email from Faction. It is interesting. They built Candides models in different factories but not at Amer. Almost all other models are now at Amer Austria.

As it is a business email, no. Plus it is not that interesting. Faction tells people all their skis are handmade in Europe, wich is true, but does not specify the factories. I'll send you a DM..
