imagine not knowing what boots are supposed to feel like in the shop because everyone tells you they're supposed to be "snug" but every boot you try on is "snug" and then you ask "how snug?" and they say "so you can't lift your heel, but there's no pain in your toes" and the next 5 boots you try all feel decent but you haven't actually skied in them so you have no idea how they're going to feel in an hour or what will change when they're packed out

tldr: fuck buying ski boots why cant a big machine measure my feet and make perfectly liners within the perfect boot

A while ago i bought a shitty pair of $50 boots and thought how bad could it really be? Lost both big toe nails multiple times and could barely walk after every day of skiing. Every little jump felt like a million thumb tacks were going into my feet. Spend the money on something decent.
