Best park skis for me

I’m currently in a deep hole deciding for new gear next year because I outgrew and beat the crap out of my sir Francis bacon shortys. I’ve decided I want to do more park this year (like majority park) vs my more all mountainy focus from this past season. I would like a jibby ski that can also work well for groomers and jumps. No less than 90 mm waist and I’d prefer a tighter side cut. I was seriously considering some Magnus 102s but I’ve realized that’s unrealistic because I’m a broke teenager. My budget for skis + bindings is like 500-600. What would you suggest?

Arv 96 is a perfect choice. It works great for everything and is in your budget. Get some tyrolia attack 13s for about 150 and you can find the arvs around 350-400 later in the off season. They are extremely stable but also soften up and are pretty buttery. My favorite ski I've ever ridden

I've bought past season 1.0s for $300 the past two seasons. luckily this years pair is lookin like she'll last for two seasons maybe.

MaimHelpArv 96 is a perfect choice. It works great for everything and is in your budget. Get some tyrolia attack 13s for about 150 and you can find the arvs around 350-400 later in the off season. They are extremely stable but also soften up and are pretty buttery. My favorite ski I've ever ridden

I can suggest a Look Pivot. I had a Tyrolia Attack and the Look is even better. Attack is to high, with the pivot you are closer to the ski

Are the pivots closer lower on the ski ? I did not think so ..thought attacks were the lowest

I had look spx 12's on my bacons, they were good but my buddy's pivots are so nice

Maybe you are rigt. I took a look on both bindings and it seems the same. But I have both and will never ride the Attack again. The Pivot is soooo nice... now I have 3 Skis with Pivots

you can find em for not insanely expensive online, but if the tyrolia's have the same performance I'd be down for that

being "low to the ski" won't really affect your skiing. Although pivots are expensive I think they're worth the money, they're a lot more durable than the tyrolias. theres also more technology in the pivots that helps when it comes to knee injuries. Tyrolias are a great cheap alternative and if you only have 5-600 to spend on the setup id go for the tyrolias.

I am in the exact same circumstance. I too am skiing park and just retired a pair of SFB shorties. These are the skis I'm currently looking at and I recommend you check out: Line Chronic, Armada EDollo, K2 Domain (discontinued). ARV's and Honey Badgers are also nice.

I love my J Skis Vacations. They got a 104 underfoot. Super nice in the park as they're flexible and playful and poppy and wide, but still hold solid and aren't too flexy. I can butter them without putting too much effort in. 104 seems like a lot especially considering I only ski the east coast and powder is a hot commodity, but lemme tell you its pretty dope and isn't much wider than your average 96. Extra bonus on powder days cause you can hit the early AM pow runs then lap the park after without feeling like you're doing something wrong.

Actually as I think of it, the Line Blend would be perfect. Light and flexible, 100 under foot. They are also pretty affordable, as all Line skis are. Good balance between tip rocker and camber underfoot. My buddy just got a pair and they are beasts in the park. Check em out

yeah I was actually recently looking at some blends which are super cheap and seem to be great

i got Armada AR7s w Tyrollia Attack bindings off Untracked.com like 3 years ago.. Arrived in box ready to ski.

Still going VERY STRONG. Super light swing weight. Awesome flex. Hardly any damage and i go super hard on them everywhere, all over the mountain.. Rails, Trees, Rocks, Jumps, Groomers, All of it! (besides moguls, fuck moguls).
