Replying to Oversized edges ^max ?

Maybe theres some new players in the game, but last I heard there were only two edge manufacturers in the world and the biggest edge you can possibly buy is 2.5 x 2.5 mm. With the new edgeless b dog, I have been wondering why has anyone not created anything bigger? I could totally see how it wouldnt be worth the effort for such a niche market and $$$ of machinery required to manufacture ski edges. But the idea of a 4 x 4mm edge for park skis seems like a good idea. I wonder how it would affect the skis performance or the prevention of edge cracks.
