Does anyone inline skate during the off season? I just picked up a pair of skates and it looks really beneficial to practice rail tricks on skates in the summer then go to skis in the winter

Which should I get
The aeon 60s or the aeon 60 Lomax
john18061806I refuse to accept your opinion because those dudes got style for miles, I doubt your local friends can make it look that easy (not to hate on them but they ain't Alex Broskow). Although you're actually a blader and I'm not so I will respect your opinion. Overrated or not it's still my favorite blade video just for the aesthetics, the Kelso brothers filming is unbelievably well done.
I haven't watched much blading but I know there's endless street videos that blow fishguys way out of the water in terms of technicality and huge tricks, especially shit from Chris Farmer- the local Minnesota hero. I actually saw him out hitting a handrail while driving around this winter in Duluth! Didn't have time to stop and say hello unfortunately... but the dude is an absolute mad man for keeping the street game alive in the brutal Minnesota winters.
I'd like to pick up blading but I'm not crazy enough to take slams on concrete. I'll stick to slacklining and mountain biking for summer hobbies in the meantime. Keep it up with the blading, shit looks fun once you got the basics down.
buyfulltilts1mm of rocker so you can turn easier. Probably still ok on jumps if you have flat profile wheels, which basically all 58 and 56mm wheels are
buyfulltiltsBtw I modded my Featherlites to fit 72 antirocker and all around it feels about the same as the Oysis so idk which one to go with. Just gonna leave the Featherlites on there for now
BrawnTrendsI get that, but bigger wheels on the inside?
Em2bella234Decide to get back to bladeing myself. Though growing up in the 90’s gave it a shot just yesterday...let’s just say I need to invest in an updated set up...my blades have no support and the wheels are deteriorated. If anyone can give me some advice on brands that won’t break the bank but will get me progress on aggressive blading and off season ski practice that would be great!
Em2bella234advice on brands
DunderflipRoces m12 tend to fit women pretty well due to the narrow shell. the souls are pretty narrow too, but definitely an affordable and sick skate. they have my favorite backslide groove out of all the boots ive had. THEM skates def wont break the bank either but they only have 3 sizes.
Em2bella234Thanks for the advice I’m going to look into all of these! 👍🏻😎
AstroKushIm hoping size 9 Roces Jansons would fit me, I skated in size 9 K2 Fattys as Im close to 8.5. I think I should be OK.
natethegreattI've been a rollerblader for almost 20 years, off and on. I used to do big ass drop rails and fakie 720 giant gaps, 10+ stairs, etc. It definitely helps a ton, IMO. The balance, the balls, the composure both off of jumps/cliffs and in the air, and landing....all are related. Just look up Chris Haffey skiing...there are some clips of him on skis for the first time and he's hucking 7's and rodeo 5's and shit...
skiguy04Still bl8 ??
natethegreattHaven't for like 4 years but I still keep up with it and watch videos every day! Gonna get some new skates soon for surrrrrre. I'm outta shape and that's about the most fun I can think of in terms of getting in shape.
DunderflipI just caved and bought some wizard frames secondhand. I'm about to be the fuckin Duke of cloutingham as soon as I get my shit set up
skiguy04What size
Dunderfliphundos. I want the 110s though so if I like these I'll probably flip em and try to get a new pair
skiguy04Cool 110 Wizard is what I’m skating
Carbon boot?

DunderflipI'm gonna throw them on unnaturals. I'm not sure how the soft ass souls are gonna work with them but Todd skated the same setup for like all of 2015/16 so I think it'll be usable at worst
skiguy04higher off the ground
Dunderflipidk man, the souls on unnaturals basically are the bottom of the boot, there's not much height difference esp. compared to like, cults or m12s. I had r100s on them for a while and they felt pretty good, but I never really charged on them enough to notice any soul/frame interface weirdness. I'm a little sus though because when you lean into a soul on unnaturals you can literally feel the plate flex underneath your feet. hopefully the little recessed zone where the frame goes is a little more rigid
skiguy04Hard for me to imagine skating anything other than an aggressive frame on those boots you mention. Carbon boot means no flex under foot && most direct energy transfer
As long as your ankles feel safe you can skate any boot though
dannydevito.just buy a skateboard fr...
Dunderfliphaters will see you riding a skateboard and say he can't afford rollerblades
old.man.tibblesWhat are some names of people at the forefront style wise right now?
The mushroom blading stuff looks like instead of removing some of the goofier aspects of inline skating, they've full on embraced it. In my eyes, there is a bit too much figure skating influence or something, if that makes any sense. Which is fine, but I personally don't think it looks the best.
I really like what Bobi Spassov is doing. Everything is smooth and fluid, skates with so much flow.

DunderflipCollin Martin does weird shit in a really easy to digest way, really accesible even to non-bladers. the stuff he does doesnt look hard until you try it and then you realize everything he does on camera is like an 8/10 or higher difficulty
Danny Beer just got on THEM skates and has a really unique style too. fun to watch, you can just tell hes having fun every time he puts his boots on.
skiguy04Not sure what type of skating appeals to the masses but there are definitely some guys who go huge which you should take a look at if you’re reading this
Matthieu Heinemann
Chris Haffey
Beat Schillmeier
Carlos Pianowski
natethegreattHaffey is arguably the best of all-time for his combination of huge and tech. Some other guys who come to mind, if we aren't just talking new school:
Brian Aragon
Alex Broskow
Brian Shima

Any mind game video showed different progression from the whole team
It was very raw and now a days it’s seen refinement...
Rollerblading is what started X games && was a real spectacle and the original reason that all other extreme sports afterwards gained so much traction. Marketers saw the opportunity
skiguy04Fuck skiing
ROLLERBLADE
ChadThundercockI bet you'd slam your nuts so hard on a handrail on fruitboots that it'd be an instant vasectomy
SwervemanguyHome skillet let me borrow his blades while mine are currently being shipped and holy shit, soo fun. If you just started getting good at skiing then get blades right now. Craving skiing in the summer buy blades. Hella people fuck with them and think it’s sick that it’s coming back but I’ve also got a lot of hate from skaters, the scooters love it. Shit is scary but once you start it’s dope as hell.
