Haven’t seen all the entries but are any of the finalists on Vishnus? Of hitting pvc rails? Or wearing track suits?
Side note, there was also a backcountry finalist right? Zero rail shots in the whole edit. It was dope but idk if that’s a good fit for this contest. Isn’t the point to do a photoshoot in a private park?
One your beyond clueless. Two, he's more consistent than the majority of kids who entered. That's why he podiumed at Rev Tour's and could of been in World cups but stopped competing.

ngl have been sleeping on Blake Wilson lately but he had the ending segment in a local park movie from like 6 years ago, I'm sure he'll do fine at a park shoot, especially if hes still been hitting rails here and there
(segment is at 12:40 if anyone's curious, this movie is pretty stacked with some big names back when they were still in high school)

My mans Blake Wilson is doing any trick he wants in the BC, you think he's scared of a perfectly made jump? That he can hit 100 times instead of the few chances you get on a BC jump before its fulled taxed? I met Blake at rev tour 5 years ago, he is probably going to ski park for the first time this season at Superunkown and act like he never stopped skiing park.
The point of Superunknown isn't to find the best park skier, its to find the most adaptable and capable skier to shred whatever is put in front of them.

I mean fair assessment. I’m not going to go as far as say the kid is a total train wreck. But I do agree if he were to improve in one area of his style, he could really clean up his arm flail. Every single video I’ve ever watched of his, Ive noticed it to the point where it takes away from some shots. Especially on rails, he flails his arms and uses them to huck himself around. Keep those hands at your hips son!
Whatch his hands/arms on both SW 7’s, the backswap backslide front 2, and that back 4 off the S. It’s obvious that he is using his arms to huck/carry momentum and it looks out of control and ugly. Pretty tight style overall though.
The way he flails his arms to balance on the ledge and then bring the back 4 around completely ruins the first shot for me. The second shot just made me laugh, reminded me of the famous black power photo from the 1968 Olympics.

So if cal buys some virtika and front slides some urban raises next year he should get in right?
