Car guys, what should I get

Graduating from CU in May, took a job in Philly and looking for a car. Was thinking about an e90 m3 (id have to finance a ton of that) or a mk7 gti or an e55 Amg which I could pay for in full. Any other suggestions for fun cars or should i just buy a gti

Don’t get caught up in stereotypes. Subarus do not blow up by any means. The only persistent problem with Subaru’s are the head gaskets. With that said if you aren’t hooning it 24/7 then that shouldn’t be a problem. Subaru’s get a bad wrap because of the people driving them, not the car itself. With reasonable care a Subaru will last you a long time. I drove a 97 M3 sedan once and it was a very very fun car to drive but the owner says he spends about 4K in parts a year just to keep it running smoothly. He mostly keeps it in his garage and drives it on sunny days just for fun. Oh and his daily is a WRX.

I’ve worked in a shops and seen head gaskets, cracked blocks, cracked rings, and blown up transmissions from Subaru’s more than anything else. If you want a BMW then get one, I’m just giving you my experience. I think that a lot of people get pushed away from Subaru’s because of the reputation they get from the irresponsible drivers that they attract. I’ve grown up around subies so I may be biased but between all my family members never had any problems with any of em. We’ve had WRXs, STIs, Foresters, and multiple outbacks

Subarus are great and reliable and all but thats an insane exaggeration. Everyone that knows Subarus, knows that Subarus have their problems.

Hey man I’m just telling my and my fathers experience. I’m not saying Subaru’s don’t have issues (head gaskets and timing belts, namely), I am saying that my family has had great success with their reliability.
