Maybe this ain’t the place, but.. when you guys eventually take your ON3Ps in for tunes, deburs etc, what do you tell the techs to try and replicate the factory tune?

I'd ask for a 1/1 tune with a heavy detune at the tips and tails. I don't own any ON3Ps but that's how I tune my homies Kartels.

I do most tuning myself except for the obvious base grinds. But I just hand mine over for a basic tune, then I’ll go back with my gummy stone and do some good detuning on tips tails and contact points.

I would understand totally if you were getting a different model of ski. But why get the BG just to make it softer? To me you’re cutting the ski short of it’s true potential. It’s purpose is to go fast and rip hard, crud and all.

softening it will make it a directional noodle that probably would only be fun in untouched pow only.

Idk that’s my thoughts. If I personally were to do it again I would get the super goats in an extra stiff.

I want a dedicated fresh pow only ski. I like soft skis that I can press and play around on. I only weigh 150lbs.

It's pretty much between a softened BG or Line Outline.

Moving to 19oz won't change the stability of the ski that much. A few team guys & employees go 19oz on Kartel 108 as their everyday ski, as it just makes it lighter and more playful, but still keeps stability pretty high. The loss of stability is even less on the BG - it will lose a bit of punch in variable at high speeds, but still be more stable than a lot of comparable skis out there, and makes sense (to me) if you are 150lbs. Just my 2 cents. We try to keep layup options on custom within the performance realm of the stock ski. Now if you want to to go softer glass & softer carbon - that is something we typically do not recommend.

As a general rule - we recommend going lighter glass when moving softer, more carbon when moving stiffer.
