Next step buy mad 2x4s. 2x4s, screws, and a saw can build a lot. Look for some free ply even if it's a bit beat up or grab some osb. Plywood is expensive.

Go big or go home. Honestly less than 5 feet is too small imo. 6 or bigger. Build your rails low with wide feet so it doesn't rock and the low height so you don't need as big of a takeoff.

Overbuild it because 2x4s are cheap. Mess around with the saw and cross brace the fuck out of it.

Pressure treated 2x4s ain’t that cheap and you definitely wouldn’t want a ramp made of non pressure treated wood

Pressure treated is a waste of money imo. Your not building a deck for your house. If you're worried about it paint it but if you build it nice you'll move or stop riding it years before it ever falls down.

Unless youre rich then by all means use treated lumber but for most people it's not worth it at all. If you wanted to blow money could use actual hdpe and steel coping if making a box. But even thats not worth it.

I used pressure treated 4x4s for my base stand and everything else was non treated. I used it for 4ish years about 50 times a summer and it had another 4 years in it. You will outgrow the setup before it falls apart. Build it well, get past the learning curve. Make rails more sturdy than they need to, but keep in my the wider the legs the more they poke out when you fall etc.
