Powder / Daily Driver to compliment Kartel96

Hey All,

Looking for suggestions for a Daily Driver up here in the PNW. Got this years Kartel 96s for the low snow months and park excursions and am getting rid of my old Bentchetlers to replace with something skinnier that I can use for the deeper and majority of the season on good days. I like riding on generally fatter skis for personal preference so I'm thinking kinda in the 110-116mm category. Deathwish 112 / Arv116 / Kartel 116 etc. Not a big charger, more playful all around the mountain in the pow but still runs good on piste, close to center. Still getting used to the Kartels this year but they'e super fun. My only worry is the 116s might be heavy for daily use or a little less meant for slower freestyle. In Canada so testing the non-shop skis is difficult. Could also go for the 108s but i fear thats a bit much of an overlap.

Anyways, what would y'all go for in this situation eh?

Black Crows Anima, Moment Meridian 117, Faction CT 4 or 5, Icelantic Nomad 115, there are a lot of skis that look interesting in this category.

Love my fatypus d senders. 112 underfoot, and they often have deals on the previous year ski. I ski the 2016 and love em. Nice feel, enough flex for butters yet I can charge with them. I think charging has far more to do with how you ski than what you ski though since I could do the same on my 178 gotamas last year

Skied the Animas this season and can confirm they charge, they're super stable but still really fun to ski. Definitely a one ski quiver.

I have K108s for this exact purpose and made a thread like a week ago asking for a fully inbounds non-fresh snow complement and the K96 was probably the top recommendation.
Had similar thoughts on potentially too much quiver overlap but 12mm should be pretty noticeable. And for what it’s worth I love my K108s in deeper fresh snow. Just also love them in choppy or heavy stuff or groomers and side hits.

Friend just got the deathwish for the same purpose and she loves them. She’s been shredding noticeably harder since she got them.

K108 man. My quiver in whis rn is k98, k108, and chetlers, and the 108s are just super versatile. I hit rails on em, do spins, butters, and they’re so good in pow I’ve obly pulled out my chetlers twice this season. Bought the 108 as more of a soft snow oriented ski an ended up riding it most days
