Park Ski Advice

Hey, I am shopping for new dedicated park skis and I could really use some help. I am looking for a light and balanced ski that is really durable: something that'll spin 5s, corks, 270s, and switchups with ease. I am not crazy in the park, so they don't have to be ridiculously stiff but something that could be comfortable on decent sized jumps and rails. My last "park" skis were Line SFB's and I liked them but they got small, fell apart, and weren't really ideal. I am really interested in the Line Honey Badger but I thought I would try to get some other opinions. I am 5'10", 156...if it means anything. Thanks!

volkl makes some good light, and pretty cheap skis. don't buy the highlighter ones tho

My friend bought new Volkls for this season and the edges have been epoxied in twice now. He's getting rid of them at the end of the season. It sounds stupid but I don't trust Volkl...I had a pair when i was a kid and i hated them

edge cracks will happen with park skiing, it's super important to detune edges underfoot. Doesn't matter what brand ski you buy all will get edge cracks with enough use

I understand that. I am a park skier and I tune all my own skis, so I am well aware of how edges behave in a park setting. I also have a pair of skis that I have been riding for 3 years in the park and never had edge problems

My dad bought em for me when I was 14 because he didn’t want me in the park and I couldn’t afford my own skis. Now that I am employed I can buy whatever I want.

My top picks right now are the Line Honey Badger, Line Chronic, and Armada ARV. Any one who can speak for or against these? I would really like a ski that is light and maneuverable but still stable.

Go for something cheap, park skis don't last a long time in the park. It's spring now so take advantage of the huge sales. Anything from armada, salomon, Line, K2, Volkl, Rossi, Surface, jskis are fine. Aim for under 95 underfoot.

Yeah I just dropped 2k on a guitar rig so my budget is pretty tight lol. I found next years Honey Badger and Chronics on sale for ridiculously cheap so it’ll probably be one of those

Couldn’t find one...I am planning on buying a Subaru Forester 2.5 XT with an STi turbo and inter cooler. It makes 270 hp and 320 ft-lb of torque. My friend found it, I just need the money

I’ve settled on the 2020 line honey badgers. Need something light and poppy but durable and they seem to fit the demand. There is a pair of EDollos I saw for sale that tempted me but the price was STEEP. Now I just need some Look Pivots
