Replying to Are lippy jumps ever a good thing?
Ok so first off I'm not saying jumps that send you at a high angle, im talking about the speed of the transition.
On a park jump is it ever good to have a sharp fast transition? I personally hate the feeling, I like jumps with slow mouth transitions regardless of size or ultimate takeoff angle. I find it allows you to stay much more composed on your takeoff instead of it feeling like the jump is punching you.
Also another disclaimer, I know lippy jumps are good for learning your first inverts and even dubs sometimes, but in general I feel like a good skier who is comfortable with their tricks can do them just as easily on a jump with a smooth transition (if its big enough)
Am I wrong? I very well could be.
