My new work is near an indoor snowflex facility (freestyle academy Stuttgart) with a kicker and some rails. Until recently I had never skied on snowflex. There is no water system to mist the slopes apart from a little garden spray bottle with water to mist the slopes by hand. People that bring their own skis rather than renting seem to be faster and get good use out of the kicker, but nobody seems to know why. So what makes the difference? What are the tricks to be fast on snowflex? I’m 6‘7“ and about 190lb and would be happy to invest into a pair of skis just for snowflex, but only if it makes me faster than the crappy rental skis. Any suggestions?
Ski on snowflex a bunch in the UK and often the sprinkler systems are being dodgy or not working so well. We used to buy loads of cheap washing up liquid and cover the in run with it. Imagine if you do that and add in your water spray bottle thing it might help. Really should have sprinklers dotted around under the matting tho
Thanks for all your suggestions, I think I’ll start with the horse semen, mix it with a spray of Pam and ask the girl at the reception to help me rub it in. If that doesn’t work we’ll clean it up with a few buckets of dish washing detergent. And then if all else fails maybe, maybe give the datawax a shot.
