$99 boots?!?! I'll take a chance.

Bought the exact same boots this season. So far they work pretty good with my chicken legs and tiny ankles. I still tend to get pretty bad shin bang after skiing for an entire day, but shin bang has always been a problem for me regardless of what boots I have.

Yeah my descendant 6's actually fit really comfortable. I just want a slightly smaller toeboxed boot with stiffer lateral flex and a little more shin coverage for when I'm not just messing around in the park or cruising with the fam. For a $100 I couldnt pass up trying them out and maybe selling my Full tilts for some extra $$$ if I can get them molded and fitted well.

The sypne was a pretty good boot. You get a fully heat mouldable shell and also an intuition liner in that model. So certainly worth taking them to a shop once you have them and they can asses Te fit. Hopefully they are on Te small side. If they are that is perfect as you can mold them to get them to fit just right.

The heel eel and ankle is not super tight on that boot so make sure you mold the liner even if you end up not doing the shell. Moulding the liner will give a way better heel hold then not doing it and hopefully will make them last a bit longer.

Best way way to stop them packing out is to reduce how much your foot moves and best way to do this is a custom footbed so always get custome footbeds. Not only will they make Te boots for better but they will last longer too.

ColingarnesJust scooped up some K2 Spyne 130's off Evo for $99 shipped. Originally $659. I'll see how they fit and take the chance. Anyone have any experience with these? 100mm last seems proper. Tight ankle pocket hopefully works well for my chicken legs and tiny ankles.

If you have tiny ankles and legs, your probably gonna want to be in a 97 last not a 100...
That being said, $99 is a steal and almost to good to pass up, if they have even a remote chance of fitting you. Hope they work for ya!

The heel and ankle of the liner is tighter for the narrow lasted boot so would be potentially better for narrow ankles.

Got ya I guess. So what you mean is the same Mondo sized liner is getting put in a smaller overall shell making the liner snuggger in places it wouldn't be in a wider lasted boot?

When you fit boots you fit to the smallest part of the foot. Your "limiting factor" would be your ankles and calf. By fitting to the smallest part of the foot you make sure that your foot is secure and wont move inside the boot. This usually means it will be tighter on the ball of your foot. Lots of boot fitters will usually recommend a footbed, as they restore your arch shape. This also shrinks your foot width wise a little bit. Punching for width is another option. Making more room is way easier than taking room away.

So we make boots in two different forfoot lasts and we make two different liners which match those lasts. So the narrow lasted boot has a liner which is tighter in the heel and ankle as well as a shell which is tighter in the forfoot
