Windells or MHSSC?

Im thinking about going out for a week this summer, which one is better price and experience gaining wise?

Windells is generally for spoiled 14 yr olds. MHSSC is def an option if you really want instruction but if I were you I would just ski public. There will be plenty of rippers who would be happy to give you tips, and MHSSC skis the public parks anyways.

if you're even considering windells, that implies you (or daddy) can afford it. Just go to windells, its the best experience your parents can afford

You’re not going to learn anything if you think some “experienced guys” at Windells are just going to teach you. It’s all on you dude - the best way to get better and learn stuff is to lap a park allll day and ride it hard, pushing your limits. Watch edits and get inspired to try stuff, study how the tricks are thrown. Surround yourself with better riders for more inspiration and stoke. And the just go hard, all day every day. That’s how you get better and learn new stuff, not by paying a ton of money to go to Windells and think some coach is going to give you their bag of tricks.

Thats why I said to just lap Timberline’s public park.... if you do what I just said above, you’ll learn just as much, if not more than you will at Windells.

A) no, windells is way different than MHSSC

B) just lap public park, repetition is the key to improvement. As a coach myself I practice this everyday with my kids. Mornings are for working on technique, afternoons are for hot laps to put what we learned in the morning into action.

MHSSC definitely is cheaper though if you need accommodation. So MHSSC is a good option I guess. Whatever you do just get those laps in.

I went to Windells when I was 13/14 and I remember having some of raddest times of my young teenage years there. The off hill part of the experience was just as rad as the skiing itself, and I had some pretty good coaches both times that I went. Just like any of the ski camps, you'll only improve if you try new things, and if you're down to send then the coaches are down to guide you through new stuff

What are your questions dude? You expect all of us to just educate you on where to ski in the summer, just like you expect some “pro” to give you their bag of tricks.

My bad, I’m not asking anyone specifically I’m just tynna get the opinion of whoever wants to share that’s why it’s a public thread. Sorry if I am demanding too much, I’m not trying to, I’m just curious. Sorry I can’t just Lap public. It’s prolly the best for me or anyone but I gotta go to a camp and I’m trynna find out what the better camp is, I don’t think that makes me a spoiled 15 year old.

Also, if you go into the camp thinking "I need coaching so i can get better and the coaching from pros will help me improve", youre gonna have a bad time because youre gonna come home having probably learned nothing or at least not what you expected to learn. Go into it thinking you just wanna have fun skiing, and that the learning is up to you if youre willing to push yourself and try new things.

I’ve never been to windells, but the people at MHSSC said you don’t learn much and it’s not as good. As for me, I had a fun time at MHSSC and learned how to do rails there. They have a super tramp and a bunch of fun activity’s (paintball, white water rafting, skateboarding, etc) and the vibe was good. Overall (even though I had fun) I probably wouldn’t go again. I would go to momentum ski camps (pretty sure I’m going there this summer) *note: they have no t-bar/lift to bring you to the top of the lane, you have to hike
