Level 1 last season conspiracy

For those who haven't been following the Level 1 athletes or filmers on social media this season, it is becoming clear that 2019 will be Level 1's last ski movie. As each big ski production company drops out of the game (PBP, Stept, etc.), this might not be a surprise.

Except it appears that Josh Berman knew that 2019 would be Level 1's last year back in 2007. He even claimed the release date on the back cover of Real Time, 11-31-19.

Transitioning into other avenues of film making -- Likely along the lines of what Nick Martini & the Stept crew transitioned into. I could see it being more lucrative.

If I’m not mistaken I remember freedle coty talking about how this is level 1’s last traditional, annual ski movie. I think they’re still going to be making projects, they’ll just be smaller projects with individuals and 2 year projects rather than a movie every single year.

This is their 20th movie right? Long time to be doin this.

Im pretty unbothered by all of this though. Level1 lost their flavor after eye trip in my opinion. Nothing will ever beat refresh. To be honest I don’t think I’ve bought a movie since partly cloudy.

I took a break purchasing during the whole narration phase but their newest drop was 100% worth the purchase

I'd agree they've lost their flavor but Sunny and Partly cloudy were fire.

There was another thread on NS talking about this and it was confirmed by Josh and Cody. They replied in the thread talking about doing other style projects, I think they meant more along the lines of online content, and going away from the ski movie every year. If you go to the level 1 website and click on movies theres a new one that says "romance" and if you click on it, it says not available.

I just assumed that Berman predicted corona and knew that all the spring trips and park shoots would be cancelled so they might as well stop after 20 movies
