i would get look p12's and i like x-waves better than 1080's but its all personal preference. get the boots that fit your feet right. thats the most important thing.

ive been renting so far and on shorter skis i think i may be more comfortable on like 159s. p12a are good? and yea the public enemies look really good. Also this will be my first skies, would it be a better idea to just into a store and ask them what i should get.

you probably only need the look p10. it's the exact same binding with a lower din. but yea they rock.

No, probably not the best idea to ask a random shop guy. There are people here who know more than the average salesperson. 'ALWAYS go a bit longer than you think you should' seems to be a rule around NS; anytime anyone asks for advice, they're trying to go for skis too small for them because they're afraid of longer lengths. You'll be happier on a pair of 164 PEs (www.proctorjones.com, or ask your shop when they're getting 06 PEs), or even 169s if you're growing. Or go short, and regret it...

i would get the k2 public enemys in the 169's like jd may said. and like someone else said the p10s would be fine for you. they will save you some money too.

yah make sure you stay with a binding that has the right din for you, pe's or mt's sound good, i'd probably go with the pe's

Get some MSP 170's. Hey it turns out there is a slightly used pair on ebay item #7136998062. They would be a great choice for an all mountain/park ski. They butter like what!

msp's would be harder for a beginner to control. he should go with the pe's or even some teneighties.
