avardaThe HI in whistler creek side is probably your best bet - super clean and will be pretty quiet in April (was there a few years ago at this time). Cost was about $35CAD a night and was a $2 bus ride to whistler ‘city central’ (5-10minute ride).
TheronGustafsoncan you elaborate on this $35 a night place in creek?
paige.HI stands for Hostels International, if you're familiar with the chain you have a decent idea of what to expect. The building was built for the Olympics so it's reasonably new. It's $45 for a bed in a four person dorm, you're paying a lot more if you want a private room and at that point may as well be in the village. The price is cheaper if you have a HI membership - which isn't a bad investment if you're doing a road trip as they own pretty much all of the hostels I've seen in BC.

freeskibum82i paid $120 a night for Whistler Inn & Suites in the village. totally worth it.
