Ok if you like doing this trick and think it's fun that is totally cool, keep doing your thing. This post is not meant to call out any skiers in particular.
However,
The Daffy "Butter" is not a true butter. Why? Because nobody butters their toast with two knives pointing different directions. The reason why butters are butters is because pressure is being applied to one end of the skis, either the tips or tails, around which the skier is sliding or pivoting. The skis are the knife, and the snow is the toast (or bagel or whatever). Furthermore, what makes a butter cool and impressive is that your centre of gravity has to be way over your tips or tails. This is why the trick is difficult. With a Daffy "Butter," you stay centred the whole time, and the way your skis are interacting with the snow is not at all like how a knife butters toast.
I know trick names are pretty silly, but these should really be called Daffy Slides or Daffy Spins.
