Hitting larger jumps

The largest jump I’ve hit was only like 8 feet. Pathetic, ik. Is hitting a 15+ foot jump really different. I don’t have the balls to hit one. Even though I’ll do 20 foot drops, I feel like I’ll either overshoot it or land on the knuckle.

Edit: how tf are you supposed to measure jumps. I measure em by the height of the actual jump.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually measured a jump tbh. I just go by “oh that looks big” and do my best to hit it, which usually goes south reallllll quick. The way I measured jumps when I used to ride and race dirt bikes was stepping it out. One stride is around a yard long, so just step the jump out and multiply your steps by 3.

im 5'4 and on 166s
getting bigger skis will help with stability and confidence on bigger airs

I’m 14 and 5’8”. I have $380, but I don’t ski enough to spend a lot on skis. I’m moving to Pheonix this summer, and AZ Snowbowl is like $80 for a day pass, and $600 for a season pass. I won’t be skiing very much there.

tbh I had a feeling OP was a wee lad.

I think my skis are small and they're 171
if I had fucking 148 skis I could flat ground 540. Also nobody on earth drops a 20 foot jump who can't fucking 360. 360 is like the trick you learn to be able to call yourself someone who rides park like thats the bare minimum.

Send it with more speed than you would the smaller jumps. DO A GRAB. Cant stress it enough. Once you start getting bigger air you need to hold a grab to avoid rolling the windows the whole time and dying.
