yeah it definitely is, my brother snapped his when the tip got stuck between the wood panel and the metal of a rail. Theres also a vid where I think Erik Olson breaks one ski so he just pulls up really hard on the other and breaks it too, it's at mount hood can't remember the name though

Damn, time to do some searching, I can’t imagine pulling up could do it

Theres this clip in ON3P3 near the end where i forgot who gets their ski caught inbetween the rail support panels. Not sure if the tip snapped or the ski just ejected but t looked pretty intense

I've seen snapped tips but usually its so close to the end it doesn't really affect the ski all that much and people just keep riding them

I’ve snapped two tips. Both broken half way between the tip and the binding. Both from coming up short on backflips.
