Rum_HamI mean CU as a school is kind of a joke. Proximity to the mountains is basically the only reason I went here.
My cousin is going there now and they are doing better but back in 2006-2010, yeah it really was. I got pretty pissed at them for a lot of things such as:
Hiring random people with no education background that dont speak English to teach Spanish class.
Using Scantron exams for everything then grading on a curve due to grade inflation from kids just taking adderall and cramming.
Using interns for upper class Finance classes instead of actual professors.
Those fucking clicker things.
Charging $35 for a new Buff card when my old one stopped working for no reason.
Closing down the Trep Cafe and putting in a Starbucks then calling me asking for more money as an Alumni.
Having to go to an anti-violence class for my buddy so he wont get expelled for having a fake grenade paperweight in his dorm room.
Changing a small amendment in a book just to make it a 'new edition' so they can charge $85 for a textbook.
Dealing with pretentious rich kids from Cali and Chicago.
Paying $1200 a month for a rundown slum you have to lease 12 months in advanced if you want to live close to campus.
Massive class size lectures for underclass courses.
Pulling me over while longboarding near Ferrand field then later photographing me longboarding and putting my picture up on Buff bus to advertise some safety initiative without my knowledge or consent.
