Skiing and Physical Therapy

Hello NS world,

I am currently approaching my end of physical therapy school and have been throwing an idea around in my head and wanted opinions. I currently follow many IGs for physical therapy but one in particular is directed towards skating. Each week he makes a video regarding common injuries, injury prevention, strengthening ect for skating.
I’ve been thinking about doing something similar for skiing. Making workout tips, anatomy videos and strengthening/injury prevention videos for skiers based on current research. I think I’d do IG and YouTube. Since I am still a student I am not sure about the legality and such but I wanted to see if the skiing world might be interested! Thank you.

Id be interested. This season has been a rough one for me with getting tweeks and what not. Never thought I could hurt my shoulders skiing lol

One shoulder surgery which I blew out again skiing is what got me into this field of work!!

I would for sure be interested in something like this.
Legally, I don't think there would be an issue as long as you displayed that you were not a certified physical therapist.. but idk

I would definitely be interested. After tweaking my knee this year I did plenty of searching for PT options and found some rudimentary stuff, but getting a perspective from an actual skier would be cool.

I dislocated both my shoulders skiing at the same time last season, dislocated the left one a bunch more times throughout the year. I just had surgery about 7 weeks ago for a torn labrum and some other stuff, finally starting pt and stuff. I would definitely like to see this IG get made.

Yes do this! Im very interested in this topic. Gotta take care of our bodies! Ive had to learn how to treat trigger points for a muscle injury and repetitive stress injuries. It would be great to have skiing related channel

I've put up a few videos on IG and Youtube. I am in classes again this semester but plan on getting the ball rolling again as the summer progresses.
