Replying to Unpopular opinion: wearing toque/goggles under the helmet is stupid

I don’t understand why I see so many people with concussion history wearing toques/goggle straps under their shitty quality, low profile helmet in the park where head injury rates are sky high. All this does is render the helmet less effective at doing its job.

I understand that it’s a style thing and part of the culture but shouldn’t protecting your dome-piece be more important than that?
