Atomic Salomon Shift MNC binding. Toe lock issue (ski mode)

I got these mounted at my local backcountry shop. I took em out today and there was a bit of "give" (up and down) in the toe piece. what do you think? i checked the salomon bootfitting manual and it notes there should be 0.5mm between plate and boot toepiece. Mine seems to sit flush. it also looks a bit low on the very end where the roller on binding toepiece meets the side of boot. any pros out there have a pov?

If you follow the AFD adjustment procedure in fig. 6, it clearly states "pull" while adjusting AFD height. I've heard a lot of issues with maladjustment on the AFD causing slop and when I checked them on both pairs there was a sizable gap, one pair on alpine DIN soles the other on WTR. Forward pressure was also set incorrectly on both mine.

May be worth checking adjustment on everything to see if the issue resolves?

Yes. You are right. These were not fitted correctly. The technician did not follow the directions in the Salomon manual to "pull" the boot up before adjusting AFD. Here is a picture with this corrected. I have notified the owner of the ski shop where I had the binding mounted so he can let the technicians know not to f*ck this up for anyone else.
