Planning a trip (not necessarily ski oriented) out west the last week of April with a few buddies. My dilemma is it's still probably too early to do any hiking up high due to snowpack. Looking for somewhere with a decent nightlife and stuff to do during the day and good hiking within a 2hr drive. Spring skiing is a plus.
I really don't want to hike anywhere that I'll need crampons or snowshoes. I have microspikes but that's about it.
Top place is Denver right now, but open to suggestions.
