Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the direction of skiing where its going or what kind of change needs to happen to develop skiing.

I think in the future goggles will record your ski day and youll be able to surf the net by twitching your eyes wile your skiing. And long coats will not go out of style because of surfing porn while skiing.

FULL MATCHING KITS ARE NEXT IM CALLING IT. Not like the huge baggy ones from 10-15 years ago but more close fitting modern ones in less vibrant colors.
I really hope goggles with speedometers become more popular. Knowing "ok, I gotta go between 35 and 40 to clear this jump" is a lot easier to remember than "two carves, unless there is a headwind, new snow, change in temp or whatever factors".
In a hundred years only the clothes will be different. But equipment is never going to be better except goggles. Think the lenses will have heads up displays showing speed temp n/s heading internet altitude # of turns per day be able to show wich chic is in heat bank account info returns, restaurant menue rear and side camera display etc. And chairlift will be super fast just step in a gondola thing and zips you to the top of any mtn in the world from anywhere in the world and a dollar a vertical mile horizontal mileage is free.
People need to start wearing 4xl everything, bring back poles and stop swerving there hands in the air after every single trick & also stop wearing value village windbreaker shit thinkin it's swag when in reality its cold as fuck out so put a proper winter coat on.

imsure we will see adjustable bamboo poles, and more skis with weird tail/nose shapes or holes
hopefully a pro i hate in the future shits himself during the olympics too during a hard impact that keeps him just concoious enough so hes fully aware while he gets towed off
we should wax our skis with a maple fucking syrup mixture too so they smell better

I think the poles/ no poles controversy will heat up and the people with poles will beat the crap out of the skiers with out poles and the skiers without poles will give in partway and get pimp canes and retaliate against the skiers with poles and beat the skiers with poles into submission with their pimp canes and all hell will break loose but eventually there will be a global compromise and everyone will ski with a pimp cane and by then the the track pants community will rise to the occasion and evolve to wearing pimp clothes and it will go to everyone's head and people will be beating each other into submission with their pimp canes until eventually the world of ski attire submits to to neon jump suits .
People are going to be priced out of resort skiing (at least where I live). People are going to start riding street and backcountry, which is the way it should be because resorts are corny. People riding street wont use poles because you don't need them and people skiing backcountry will. And hopefully people will actually get their shit together and start filming video parts instead of social media shit. Skiing also needs an actual mag/ zine with interviews, photos, etc. But who knows. Skiing could also temporarily die like skating did in the 80s ish. We'll find out.
