What’s the most durable park ski?

Any park skiier knows how much their skis get beat up, does anyone know the most durable ski brands or ski models?

Swap your skis on your feet. In other words, you don’t want to have one specific ski on say, your left foot all the time.

When you get edge cracks, file them way down and then apply some epoxy to any small gap you see. This deters water from getting into the area, which will push the edge out. And it will also keep water out of your core.

If you have delam in tips or tails, use epoxy and clamps. If it’s major, use pop rivets.

Buy some ptex sticks and fill in those bad base scratches or core shots.


Theres probably some more but that’s what I do.

Also, detune your edges when you first get a pair of skis.

in my and friends experience icelantics are pretty terrible.
ive heard vishnu are good idk about moment, ive been riding liberty transfers and they have held up pretty well

I ride armada arv 86 and they have held up pretty well. My friends also ride armada and they have been lasting

I’ve actually found that both of those may be the least durable. I’ve ridden 4frnt and the edges cracked in so many places and jskis just is not a sturdy ski

I have rode Jskis Whipits all year and they have been very durable. No edge cracks, some topsheet chips but not a lot.

I’ve had two pairs and they both got the edges pulled out in like 20-30 days and the tip of one ski broke on the other pair :/

Suspects are notorious for exploding due to the “edge armor” Kevlar strings connecting the edges.

What do you think is the most durable park ski?

I’ve ridden line which delams really badly, 4frnt which the core fall apart very quickly and it looses its camber and it also has edge cracking problems and armada which has been great so far however i noticed a tiny crack in the edge recently but i’ve had no problems. However, one of my friends recently destroyed the edge of his ski on his armadas and he didn’t even 30 days on those skis. I’ve found armada to be the best so far especially with the coat they use on top, very little delam. I have not tried any brand you mentioned so one of they could be durable but i do not know.

My HG's held up really well. Only 3 edge cracks when I finally retired them. J is made in the same factory so they should last just as long.

My Majesty's definitely fell apart underfoot but I put those to the test. Tons and tons of rails. But they lasted almost 3 seasons. My Vandal 2's were one of my favorite all around skis I've had. Got a pair of Lib Tec's coming in the mail next, we'll see how they last.

Got Salomon 1080 in 97 after 600+ days only 4 edge cracks and bases in great shape.
Skied no rails and around 20% park. Still are a fun ski.

Vishnus , for real . I had one pair last me 3 seasons of serious abuse, and at the end even though I had slight splitting in one nose , and a few edge cracks on each ski, they still would probably go another season or two . That being said too, the bases were almost flawless . Idk what they do at that factory but it works. Keep swapping them underfoot and those skis can last you multiple seasons of park easily .

Do you have any more info on this? Im wondering why connecting the edges would cause the ski gk explode.

My Salomon NFX have taken hell alot beating and still usable. Over 3 seasons, lots of rails and I’m a heavy rider. Last week finally a small part of the edge fell off. Also every k2 skis I have had, have last a decent time. Skis I have broke fast: atomic(long time ago thought), line(SFB 2019 model) and armada(also some time ago, one of the originals).

Just bought another pair of k2’s(reckorner 102), hope they last longer than Lines(wich are not made for rails thought).

Also, fixed my lines, seems to hold up better now then before.

And for a bonus, I can tell you all the most durable bindings: Marker Jester Pro. Absolutely most reliable bindings I have had, also regular Jesters are good. The old jester pro developed some minor play in the toe piece but they still work without problems. Other bindings are falling in pieces or eject when ever they want.

Volkl Karma are the most durable ski I've used. I remember the Wall, which came immediately after being really terrible for durability though.
My K2 Public Enemies were super durable too, except they were the ones with the die-cut topsheet and pieces of it would peel off.
Just going to mention, since everyone loves to talk about Faction not being durable, my Prodigy 1.0 are at 100+ days and all that's wrong with them are edge cracks and a minor edge compression, after heavy use on rails and low snow coverage conditions in the spring and fall.

Ive been landing on rocks and having little kids ski over my skis constantly while instructing for the past three seasonsm on my J skis Allplay and I still dont have anything near to a core shot, edge crack, or topsheet nick. cannot say the same for my dynastar carving skis or my k2s
