Faction Prodigy 3.0 - any issues?

Factions build quality is shit tier but their warranty is decent. Had a buddy land a 3 on flat and the ski snapped in half...

Which year / version are you looking at? The 18/19 version is pretty different than the previous generations.

I haven't heard great things about Faction's durability, but that's mostly been from park skiers, or really hard-charging all-mountain skiers. After putting around 40 days on 3 different pairs, I haven't had any durability issues, but I don't hit rails and I only weigh ~155 lbs.

I'm not a park rat, I want allmountain skis that can handle bit of resort, some butters and is at least semi twin tip. I was looking at Atomic BC 100 but they're impossible to find in my size for now (180) in Europe.

Gotcha. Yeah, I like the Prodigy 3.0 as an all-mountain ski. I wrote a review of it here, but the short story is that it's a very loose ski with a strong flex pattern, which can make for a fun combo. If you love carving groomers, it's not the best option cause of how much taper it has, but it holds up well to fast skiing (especially in grabby snow), while maintaining a surfy and playful feel (though you have to flex it pretty hard if you want to bend it into butters / presses). If you do really like to carve hard on groomers, the Armada ARV 106 is a good alternative, but I think the Prodigy 3.0 is a very good ski that should work for a wide range of skiers. Oh, and if you tend to not pressure the front of your boots / skis very much (i.e., you ski with more of a centered stance), I'd move the bindings to -5 or -6 cm from true center. The recommended line is -8.

Yeah, I’ve read your review and it makes me want them. But! I don’t live anywhere near mountains, that means that I have only few ocasions to ski during the year like Christmas, winter break and early spring. And by that I mean, I don’t want to worry about my skis, that they can delam without any warning so I loose my time in mountains without skis because replacement process will take too long. So I prefer worst customer service but more reliable product...
