mystery3When is your spring break?
There will be plenty of snow for spring laps.
Are you looking for terrain or parks? Where will you be staying?
billythegoatjust wait until like march 20th and check the weather. there is a huge base right now so most stuff should be open. also, go to kirkwood, its worth the drive.

Park_RangerIf you go to Squaw, they are having a dope little festival over the weekend that you’ll be out there. Try to check out Greensky Bluegrass and Leftover Salmon!

theabortionatorI'll be there for WWG. Didn't go last year because the lineup wasn't as good and went to sac to visit friends and see tunes. This year lineup is stacked.
Park_RangerEnjoy GSBG, those dudes just keep getting better

Staying near northstar but can drive to any of the vail resorts.
I ski enough park in michigan, really looking for some terrain
dan4060This is good thinking. Skiing park is awesome, but you can do that at home.
Of the mountains on Epic, my favorite in Tahoe BY FAR is Kirkwood. Kirkwood is one of the best mountains in the country. It is very steep, and it gets a ton of snow. It is very underrated, in my opinion it blows the doors off of a place like Vail. Unfortunately, Kirkwood is a long way from where you are. I used to live in Tahoe City, and I can't remember how far Kirkwood was, but it is a long way. If you have access to a car I would do yourself a favor and get at least one day there. In fact, I would try to rally your group to get a couple of days there. Heavenly is okay. It is not my favorite, but Mott Canyon is fun. Overall it is a decent mountain, but a sizeable cut beneath Squaw, Alpine and Kirkwood. In fact, I would rate it beneath Sugar Bowl. Sugar Bowl is close to you, and it is a great little mountain, but I don't think they are on Epic. Still it might be worth it to pay for a ticket. Sugar Bowl is very steep and gets lots of snow, it is another highly underrated mountain. I like Sugar Bowl MUCH more than either Heavenly or Northstar. To be honest, if I had an Epic pass I would stay in South Lake, you have Kirkwood, Heavenly and Sierra at Tahoe right there. In North Lake it is better to have the Ikon.
Have fun. I am a Mammoth guy, but the conditions in the Sierra are awesome right now. Even if it stops snowing the coverage is great. You should get good windbuff turns or good slush turns on the steeps.
BJ2112One more thing, do you suggest I rent demo skis for the week?
SofaKingSickWhat skis do you own and what kind of skiing do you wanna do there?
BJ2112some janky ass elan park skis, not good.
Id rather be on something with a wider waist for out there
SofaKingSickHm yeah might be a good time to try something different. You’ll be fine on what you have and you’ll be used to them, but yeah wider skis can be a great thing to try even if it’s not fresh pow
Just see what your gut (and wallet) tells you when the time comes
BJ2112any recommendations on where to get some skis there?
