Keep skis skinny

Wax companies are the puppeteer behind ski businesses, the wider the ski the more wax used. 60 mm underfoot snowblades should put Swix and other wax companies out of business.

That's sounds like one of the dumbest ideas i have ever heard. I see it
with on3p and it looks kind of gimmicky, the best rationale I could find on their website was "it makes it more fun". IDK man, does it make it that mush easier for butters? Doesn't throwing a whole bunch of rocker in skinny skis make them hella unstable, theoretically you are reducing the amount of ski on the ground at any given point.

Yeah but I like skinny skis with a tight turning radius and low swing weight. Camber is boring as fuck and has no discernible advantages aside from carving. The few rockered Park skis that are under 90 are popular on the market. See: Vishnu wets, ON3P magnus’, moment vices, Armada alpha xs/halo

I loved the old armada halos, but those are extinct. That line became the bdog which turned into a much heavier and wider ski. I'm on the magnus now and it reminds me of the old halos in some ways

I had 2 pairs of these and they were AMAZING. Not recommended for moguls

I completely agree except on the skinny part. I'm not sure how stable they are on powder but pescados pretty much are all of the above except they are fat.

I would love a mid 80's width full rockered ski. I not talking rocker out the ass tip and tail, I'm talking ever so slight full rocker like Volkl used to do on the bridge and mantra. I love the way a full rocker ski feels, so easy to pivot. Medium flex core and add some metal in and it will be the perfect park ski for me.

I don't even know anymore. I've skied a bunch of different types of park skis and honestly it all just depends on how you like to ski. everyone will find the type of ski that works best for them. comp skiers need stiff thin and light, those sort of in between comp and video skiers like joona ferdi Antti want something in between and new wave rippers like cal Carson want something really playful. just ski the ski that's best for you and don't just follow the industry/community trends.

Can you even buy an 85mm full camber 19-20m turn radius park ski anymore? Like an old line chronic or troublemakers or any of the salomon skis from that time period?

I still vote for more tight turn radius skinny park skis, like 16m or so, 90mm max but I'd be down with 85. Half the people saying they need (note that need is not the same as want) a longer radius and fat skis for stability or not hooking up on landings are kidding themselves. Also there's not even any room to make use of a long urn radius here, or enough snow to make a big jump. Give me that sweet 16m, 85mm waist ski for gaper slalom.
