AUSTINBIKESKIHave you ever done a backflip before?
generally if your skis don't come off unexpectedly in general skiing, you should not need to tighten them for something new you are trying. If you are trying something that applies way more force than you ever have before, you are probably trying something way out of your skill zone and should rethink it.
unless you are an idiot and hit your head on the takeoff slinging back, doing a backflip puts almost no force on your bindings. definitely not a trick you need high din for, compared to something with spinning or landing on a rail
AbiHCopy that! Just seen a ton of videos where people skis just fly into oblivion.... but they don’t come off now and I charge pretty hard, should be good I guess?
DarcI think all those videos are where people just lean backwards hoping it will work or try start the rotation too early. If you pop properly and set with your hips you should be all good. If anything slightly lower dins aren't bad to make sure you release if you tip catch.

weastcoastI thought you took front flip lessons?
JemsConsidering I’ve done hundreds of flatspins and quite a few backies with only 6 din I think you’re fine.

MasterUdon"Hundreds of flatspins"😂😂 Try 10
TRVP_ANGELBackflips are easier on trampoline so if you turn it down to 1, it ensures you eject on take off so it'll be easier to throw it

“hey guys, im a really good girl skier i hit a box yesterday and i can ski switch on a green run, im thinking about doing a backflip but mainly i just want to make a thread about it and have everyone give me respect for being a girl who wants to do one.... hmm, i know what to post! I’ll ask everybody what proper dins are for doing a backflip! Then everybody will take me seriously and give me mad props!”
Seriously darling, even if you do end up doing one, preemptive claiming is what you do if youre a complete fucking loser.

MinggIf you don't have problems with them currently then they are probably fine. Your take off should be fairly similar to doing other tricks, meaning you should have proper shin pressure and are popping perpendicular(ish) to the jump. If you lean back dramatically and try to throw a backie - your skis might pop off with your current din setting but that would be the least on your concerns because your head would be cratered into the lip of the jump so. Yeah, keep them where they are.
Edit: And if you are concerned about them popping off at landing (possibly due to under-rotating) again, don't crank them. Smacking the back of your head with your tails because you scorpion'd and your skis stayed on doesn't feel too great.

runforlove2018This quoted part actually made me laugh as it was well put together (applause seriously), but it's not nice to call people losers. It's called cyber bullying and it's real. .... My comment sounded really sarcastic. Promise it's not. Dolan you are rude. And your name is fucking weird. #RunForLove2019

CaseyNow I am going to research videos on YouTube of people’s skis flying off when they try to backflip. Or just in general
AbiHDude is this you?! Did you just rack up 22k as a joke? I think I missed something 😂
AbiHFirst off
Do not “darling” me.
Second off
This is a legitimate thread.
Third off
You do not know me, or the way I ski.
Fourth off
Screw you.
Does it make you feel 10 feet tall when you discourage others to pursue their goals in skiing?
I have dealt with people like you for way too long and I will have none of it. It’s people like you that take women’s skiing back another decade because of your ignorant way of thinking.
