So I went to Giants Ridge on a school trip with some friends and I was in the park pretty much all day. I knew the speed for the biggest jump that they had and this little girl maybe 10-12 asked me if I knew the speed. I told her I did and let her follow me down it and on the booter she tried to pussy out and laned sideways on the knuckle. heard the snaps from behind me. they brought her down in the sled and that's the last I saw of her just feel really bad about it now

At a summer camp as a kid we were playing full tack capture the flag and i was looking at down tying the string in my umbros and a dude ran into me by accident and he fell and broke his leg. The bone was sticking out of his leg. I felt really bad.
I also had my friend follow me off the bottom kicker in the big line at copper and he didnt make it and was on crutches for a while.

Did you even question whether she was even remotely aware of what she was attempting? Surely alarm bells should have been ringing.


Yes bla bla bla you're not her parent, but you knew she was 10-12 years old and it's super likely she's out of her league going over the biggest jumps....sorry but you've got to take a little responsibility there man, and you failed her.

You're an idiot. Kids at that age still need guidance with their decisions, especially potentially life-changing ones such as should I send it off a XL kicker when I cleary don't know what the repercussions are.

Op says he was on a school trip, so guessing you're still a teenager. maybe this should be a life lesson for you too. Live and learn

What makes it sound like I'm a teenager? All I'm saying is that OP didn't pressure her to do it. She came to him asking if he knew the speed. My guess is that she would have hit the jump regardless. It's not like Op can force her to not hit it. If shes gonna hit it anyway, it might as well be in a guided environment. I know if I was that girl I would not blame OP.

Sorry that was badly worded, my last comment was aimed at OP, he was on a school trip, so he's probably still a teenager.

But, a guided environment would be with someone who's got a sense of responsibility and already has an idea of the kid's level.
Not some dumbass teenager who doesn't even question if she's remotely capable of what's she about to attempt

also I agree with people saying OP should have warned her seeing she was 10-12, but knowing to ask someone for speed does make it seem like you know what you’re doing even if you look super young

Doesn't mean someone necessarily has to be held responsible for a minor's dumb decisions.

I fail to see how this can be considered OP's fault in any way, legally or morally. Plenty of 12 years old throwing dubs out there, is OP supposed to give everyone asking him a question in the park a test to gauge their ability before determining if he can help/tell them or not?

Feel free to tell the resort though, like I said OP is in no way responsible for this girl's injury, the resort would tell him the same.
