AbiH
Just put a brand new battery in her and she still won’t start!
Don’t know a ton about cars, but a friend said it’s probably the starter, is that pretty easy to fix?

mystery3It's probably easy to throw a starter in that bronco but I'd suggest going through some diagnostics/troubleshooting before throwing parts at the problem.
Did you try tapping the starter solenoid with a hammer? Did you check voltage at the starter?
What happened to it when it didn't start? Is it by chance manual?
Iraq_LobsterI drive a 1999 corolla

OregonDeadYes. Easier just to slap a new rebuilt starter in there than to rebuild it yourself though.
^Like this guy said do some checking to figure out if that's really what it is before you just go replacing every part.
Rum_HamNice Bronco! does it crank over at all? Starters aren't too difficult to change on those trucks iirc.

Don’t know why it did that
Rum_HamStarter sounds strong. Check for 3 things when a car doesn’t start, fuel, air, spark. It’s safe to assume it’s getting air so next steps are the check and see if it’s getting fuel or spark.
If it’s sat for a while especially with ethanol gas it’s possible the fuel filter has clogged, you could also pop a line off the fuel rail and see if it’s getting clean fuel there. When you turn the ignition on can you hear the fuel pump cycle? They’re super loud on those trucks.
For spark you could pop a plug out then while cranking the engine over and see if it’s arcing or if the plug is super fouled. Just make sure to use anti seize on the thread when replacing plugs.
I have a service manual for that truck that I don’t use any more since I sold mine. I can send that to you if you want it.

theLiquorColorado emissions (aka Envirotest corp) inpectors are a fucking joke. I modified my car to run off of E85, Evap, PCV, cats all in order and wont pass because I modified the car’s stock tune...
That’s all I got. That whips thread was epicly long

Enzob007Lol I feel bad for all of u with emissions crap to worry about, here in Ohio we don’t even have vehicle inspections at all.
Rum_HamYeah but you have to live in Ohio

mystery3And weave through broken down rusted dilapidated shit piles of American steel to get to the slag pile you call a ski hill. I'll take emissions testing and wish we had safety inspection like most developed countries do.

Jems90% bet it’s not getting fuel.
Rum_HamYeah my money would be on clogged fuel filter with no other info besides that pic lol

JemsJust pour some oil on the engine block and she’ll start right up
BitcoinBought a '71 Rolls after Bitcoin pumped. Became thoroughly addicted to the brand ever since.
Other than that. I've owned an '04 Mercury Mountaineer and a '13 Ford Focus as daily drivers. I don't give a shit about cars, their all replaceable. Almost 80% of the time you are better off buying an entirely new vehicle instead of fixing the one you have.
everlastu r nothing but a no good cock sucker, thats all u are. and thats all u will ever be. cock sucker. that is you.
BitcoinHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Rum_HamYeah so that last part definitely isn’t true. Certain cars are also irreplaceable. Think you’re in the wrong thread if you believe that.
BitcoinLike an Addams probe 16 maybe. But you can legit trash any year Lambo or Ferrari and there's at least 3-5 more
Rum_Hamyeah that’s a pretty irreplaceable car if there’s 3-5 of them. Good luck actually getting one since most cars that rare are in museums or private collections so they won’t go up for sale often. Also there’s plenty of 1 off Ferrari’s like the 330-p4.
BitcoinI mean most Rolls are bespoke, no 2 are alike. But still - very replaceable considering it's just a glorified BMW
Rum_HamAgain, lots of classic rolls Royce’s that are irreplaceable. 1925 phantom round door for example. You clearly aren’t a car enthusiast.
BitcoinI am, I just have my priorities straight lol. If you don't think an item is replaceable - you'll never own one.
Every car ever made will be dust in 1000 years - cars are made to love and use. Not sit and oogle over
