Apparently this is very sexist. Interested to see what everyone thinks, including any companies who want to chime in. Comments are a good read. Seems like female skis are dangerous waters, especially if they are pink.

Ugh. My head hurts. Fuck anyone who has a problem with a ski company making a pink ski marketed towards chicks. Like a few of the comments said, a pink ski for dudes would be dope.
You don't have to buy pick skis heaven forbid they make a pink ski. The mens skis are in black guess those are "gender bias" too. This world is turning so soft. Anyone who commented gender biased seriously needs to pull their head out of their ass.

People frickin suck, its the same ski as the normal one they just made it with a different topsheet in case someone wanted a pink topsheet. If you don't want it dont buy it and buy the normal topsheet.

No problem with having limited edition top sheets but saying hey ladies and marketing them as women’s when they are the same is kinda dumb IMO. Such a limited run and Faction has a big market so maybe they sell out anyways. There would be no controversy with the same exact design if they just said hey everyone these skis are the same buy if you like this limited edition colab graphic.

Some maybe. I see lots of women on the men’s or unisex top sheets . I also see a lot of women’s top sheets going to the deep clearance racks.
At least Faction was straight up about saying the construction is the same instead of giving it a ‘strong as the men’s but we thought about women during the construction process and pressed feelings into the core’ spin.
I think it's a little weird that it's still called a Candide Thovex pro model but it has clearly feminine branding, and the whole concept of gendered skis is becoming a little outdated.
But if you're the type of person that gets super wound up about this type of thing, you need to take a big step back and look at the big picture. You're not fighting an epic crusade for gender equality by hating on a pink topsheet. A lot of the people hating on it seem to be dudes, and some of my women skier friends (/claim) have liked that post, and I definitely don't think they're sexists. This is like freaking out over the girl ski emoji.
Why bother with the Mademoiselle brand at all, if theyre built the same and its just a different colour topsheet why not just call it a limited edition topsheet or just leave it as the 2.0x like the rest of the line and the "x" series alt topsheets?
I've never understood making female skis. The ski you ride should be a factor of your ability, your height, and your weight. Considering there are skis out there for everyone from a 60 lb kid just learning to ski to a 200 lb person who drops 40ft cliffs, then females should have no issue finding a ski that suits their size and ability.
Can we get some girls to weigh in here? I honestly don't understand what the problem is, if you don't want a pink one then get a different color, if you like pink well now you can get one. Is my male privilege showing that I don't understand the problem?
Most of the women that I've talked to about these skis can't wait to get their hands on a pair. They are built 100% like the "men's" ski but with a different topsheet.
I know some women that wouldn't be caught dead with pink skis and a lot that love these skis. Who the fuck really cares? If you like them, buy them! If you don't, buy the regular graphic... as long as you're skiing on the right ski for you and having a blast, what the fuck does it matter?

I did head a while back that because women tend to have a different body geometry and a lower center of gravity the ski flex etc is a little different.

It was after these, around the time they were having people submit graphics for skis.
They almost look like thanos doggs but with full boob.
I’ve physically held the number 2 pair of these skis and their so so so sick,looking even better in person.
Understandable that some people might get the wrong vibe of the post but as many have said above there’s absolutely nothing stopping them getting a normal 1.0 all the way to 5.0 pair.
